Mark Thackway is a master roots/rock and Americana guitar player based in the Toronto area, who has been recording and touring for almost four decades. He is well-known across Southern Ontario from bands such as The Mark T Band, Days Of You, The Other One, Whose Cat is Dead, Tyler Ellis and the Eddy Line and WS Dupree, and is also an accomplished solo performer.
Mark has toured across Canada and the United States, including a performance in front of over 10,000 people at The Tunnel in New York with Vincent Lowcock and The Mandela System and numerous SEVA Foundation benefits with Wavy Gravy and Timothy Leary. His festival resume includes Earth Day at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto, Big Rock (Port Dover, ON), Markham Village Music Festival and many others.
As a session guitarist, Mark has worked with top producers including Nick Blagona (Deep Purple, Cat Stevens, Kim Mitchell) and Karen Kane (Big Sugar, Vivian Lariviere).
His first solo EP released November 2023 -
